We worship Shiva who nourishes and sustains all beings

Like a fruit freed from the bondage of its stem

May he liberate us from death, but not from deathlessness

 

mrit.yun.jaya is derived from the ancient sanskrit "mahamrityunjaya" mantra recorded in the vedas. The verses meaning can be attributed to something more than the stylised version presented above, it is the meaning we attach to life.
